Lead UX designer
Lenovo's ThinkSmart Manager console helps IT administrators to remotely deploy devices, configure settings, and update software on Lenovo's smart collaboration devices across the enterprises. Our team designed and developed a mobile application, that was based on the existing desktop application, that equips our customers with better tools and streamlines processes like device claiming and configuration.
Our team used Usertesting.com to conduct usability testing. For the target audience, we used demographics that closely resemble our existing customers. Each user was given a task to accomplish, while their verbal observations were recorded in the audio format. To measure quantitative data we used Likert scale and we also analyzed open-ended questions. In the end, we calculated an average SUS score based on the given answers. This test has significantly helped us to identify pain points and make certain adjustments before finalizing the design.
The ThinkSmart Manager mobile app was well received by the stakeholders and existing customers. It allows to manage and monitor devices on the go and claim devices with the QR code scanned by the phone's camera app. The fresh and clean UI doesn't distract from the already telemetry-heavy interface. The main CTA "Add a Device" is centered in the sticky footer, conveniently available to the users any time they're viewing their devices. Overall the app is intuitive and easy in use.
